Depends where you get it from. If you get the hamster from petsathome (For Example) they are around 2-3 months old.

Usually, if the pet stores haven't put the hamsters in the back room, they will be for certain 1.5-3 months old. If the hamster was taken from the back room, and not from one of the "display tanks" they are likely to be a lot older. Also, if they are really old, the pet stores are likely to tell you. For example, Titania was in the back room and the pet stores told me she had been there for 3 months, so she was about 4-5 months old.
