Question Hamster Bed problem

All of my posts/threads on here are problems, trust me, I don't just have problems!

Anyway, I have a problem with my hamster's bed. I bought a strawberry bed for her a while back and she loved and has had it for ages. However, we got a new cage and suddenly she started sleeping somewhere else (My cage is a big plain cage with one balcony thing with stairs attached) And she started sleeping under the balcony. I decided that this might be because she prefers this bed, maybe its cooler or warmer. It is in a corner, by the way. But now, she keeps changing beds. She will just sleep anywhere. The original bed is in there, just in case. But I don't know what to do or if this Is normal. Help!

It's completely normal! My hamster Duncan couldn't decide on his nest for the longest time, and when he finally seemed to be getting close, he wound up passed out on top of a box

There's really no need to worry over it, hamsters are very particular about their nests so it makes sense that the finding of them is quite precarious as well. If you really don't like her moving around so much, you can offer a super comfy area for her to sleep in, and hope that she'll take to that

I agree that it's totally normal, hams will always choose where they want to sleep & it's often not where we expect!
Some will have more than one nest so as long as you've provided suitable places & lots of substrate/tissue for nesting just have fun watching her go about her hammy business!

I also agree that this is quite typical for most hammies to change where they sleep, and it can sometimes surprise us. My Eros has changed her nest many times and I have only had her since February 9th of this year. Just think of these sleeping location changes as part of their quirky nature. It is quite humorous to watch where their adorable little noses poke up next from their new nests. Have a fun and definitely lots of laughs.

Completely normal. Most of my hamsters have liked sleeping in a corner under a balcony. And most have also moved their nests around quite frequently. I think sometimes they just get bored!
