Awww Serendipity I'm so happy for you! Newt looks like a proper sweetie, love that cream colour. It's great he's so comfortable with you, I'm sure you're going to have fun with your new baby. I had to do a bit of mental readjustment with mine too, I had gotten so used to Spike as an old man I had forgotten what energetic little baby hams are like!

He will be having a quieter day today

Sleeping all day hopefully. I last saw him go down the hole in the roof of the house so am hoping he is nesting in there, but will leave him alone as I don't want to scare him. I'm sure he'll be out and about again this evening. He climbed over me and sniffed me a lot in the playpen last night so hopefully he's getting used to me.

Congratulations on Newt - He is so handsome and those photos are so cute - he looked like he was throughly exploring his new home. Newt is also very lucky to have an amazing home with you and your family. I really like his name!
Newt's cage also looks wonderful too!

I thought the same as Rads! But his name story is so much better. Newtus Hamsterus Custard's Victor sounds AMAZING, where I live composed names are related with very important people, and I'm sure that Newtus meets the standards

I'm really glad for you and I'm glad he's settling well. I am so jealous!! (in the good way, if there's any). I'm looking forward to know everything about him!

Lol yes I thought of the girl in Aliens when stepson first said "Newt" - maybe that's where JK Rowling got the idea from - although I think it's short for Newton in Magical Beasts and stepson was quite taken with Newt Skamander and his magical beasts. Also I think the little girl's name was pronounced "Noot"

Newt is a beautiful hamster, must be nice to have a hand tamed hamster who will take to you in no time, if he hasn't already. You'll have to update your siggy.

I think it must be a bit strange for him at first, being away from his brothers and his only familiar home, but I'm sure he'll get used to us soon. Have already asked to update my siggy
