Red face Bambi is vibrating

okay so I just got my hamster on april 7th and shes about 3 months old. I noticed that whenever I interact with her she vibrates. Similar to a cats purr, theres even a little noise. She only does this when shes interacting with me or with something new but I have to be there. She will not start doing this if she doesn't know I'm there. And its not like I walk into the room and she starts constantly vibrating until I leave, she will maybe do this for like the first 10 minutes that I'm holding her, or if I put my hand in here cage. Like one time, I had bambi in my hand and she was vibrating and when I put her in my sisters hand she stopped. another time, I put her ball inside her cage (touching the bedding) for her to climb into. she was all the way on the other side of the cage and she was vibrating so hard that I could feel it. keep in mind I was only touching her ball! what does this mean????

Angelisodaa, congrats on bringing Bambi into your happy home. From what you described, I believe that Bambi is vibrating and making sounds due to the fact that she is just nervous. This is common in new hamsters since they still may need extra time to get accustomed to interacting with you. She may just need to gain more confidence and trust. I would definitely take things slow and use the tissue trick if you haven't already done so. It can truly do wonders in the taming process. Please don't feel disheartened, it just may take some extra time. Keep offering treats, speaking frequently and softly even if Bambi isn't out of her nest, and things should progress soon. Good luck, and keep us posted whenever you have a chance.

We call this 'buzzing' and it is quite common especially with dwarf hamsters though syrians can also do it. It feels like having a bumble bee in your hand!
I think it is when they feel a little nervous but not so unsure that they feel the need to scream or bite. I'd be calm and wait gently till the buzzing stops then talk gently with slow movements till your hammy settles down.
