Re: 30 Days of April
Eeeep Oly is wonderful. I really like the look of the black eyed white Chinese hamsters. Lovely to see those pics.

Re: 30 Days of April
The BEW's are such little beauties
It is a shame about Miss Rylstone, she's lucky to be with someone who can manage her condition & nice to know she can still enjoy life.

Re: 30 Days of April
The Caestar pups wave a paw tonight!
Cuddles by Vectis Hamstery, on Flickr
They're 5 weeks old so are now settled into their boy and girl cages. There are only 2 girls so they've stayed in with mum for now and I don't plan on keeping either of them.

The herd of boys have their own cage. I'm keeping one and am trying to decide which!

They enjoyed their kale tonight.

In other news, I had a surprise tonight - there were baby squeaks coming from Lyra the duprasi's cage again! I was only handling her yesterday and she didn't look round. Her tail was lovely and chunky which is a sign she's in good condition, so I'm hoping she only has a little litter this time. It'll be her last litter, and busy Mr Dobby has long since been in his own cage (in another room just in case ).

It's great news to hear about the new litter! It's sad that this thread is coming to an end, but I hope you'll show them to us anyway!

It's tough but someone has to cope with all the teeny tiny cute hammies!

I'm strengthening my anti-hamnapping devices as I type...

I'll do my best. I enjoy doing the photo thread as it gives me the motivation to post as well as do mod stuff on the forum!
I have a few piccies for you tonight. Firstly I found a bargain in the seasonal aisle at Tesco - 100 cable ties for £1 I can never have enough cable ties as certain small furry people like to chew them off their bin cages!

Rogue's a fan of chewing too. This is him eating his dinner which was a meaty bone tonight. He's raw fed and always supervised with his raw bones. Remember never to feed cooked bones to your dogs.

It's Terry Pratchett Day and the Dean of Pentacles is celebrating:

I also have 2 confessions...
Number one: a little extra someone came home with me from last weekend's show. Another breeder knows I am interested in dark grey and dark grey carriers and he had two litters he thought he'd let me know about recently. I said yes to this yellow lad who carries dark grey, but haven't yet found him a name (my naming theme is White Star Line cruise ships).

My second confession is to do with two of my Houten additions. You may remember my pair from their intro thread - Ridcully and Esme. I spotted Ridcully as I loved the shape of his head as I was walking past the tub of hammies. The seller, my friend who also breeds Chinese hammies and I each checked them as I picked them up and bought these two. One male and one female.

This is Esme:

This is 'Ridcully':

Moral of the story - don't sex hammies while tired! I'll have to rename Ridcully as that's a boy's name
