Thanks! I just wasn't sure if Freezers were ultrasonic noise or something It's actually quite a nice faint hum. Although might stick something over the bright green light!

I think you already have the answers that you were looking for, but I want to add that I think that they get used to a lot of noises.

Blacky is very skittish and he doesn't do good with noises, however my dad snores A LOT and he doesn't care at all about it. And at the beginning he froze every time he heard my phone vibrating and now he's completely ok with it. So I think they can adapt to familiar sounds and noises.

Fridge/Freezers are quiet. My living room & kitchen is open-plan and all of my hamsters have been fine. Harvey's use to the microwave pinging, the cooker oven door being opened, the tv & music being on.
So agree with Hamsterita, they get used to the noises.

It will be fine with the freezer in there. Once the hammy is used to the room it won't even notice any noise or anything else going on in there

I'd say it be ok. My hammys are used to the hair drier and the hoover. Rosie is out on her wheel in the evenings when I'm drying my hair and it doesn't seem to bother her at all.

Lol that brings up some images! I can just imagine Rosie trying to catch a bit of a blow dry while running on her wheel

Our fridge freezer and little separate freezer are in the guina pig room, formally known as the dining room. Kashi hamster is in thwre too. All seem totally fine with it. They are even used to the dogs barking when the front door is opened or knocked on.

Cant wait for your new hamster and his or her set up!
