[Nancy's Hamsters]

Well I have been a bit busy with many things and had to let this go for a few days. Had Chasin chew out and sadly found his remains after my Cat found him the bad side of needing a Mouser for the large amount of wild mice that can easily access this 100 year old house and keeping Hamsters. I can't blame the cat but it always makes me mad at myself when a Hamster chews out of a bin cage.

I also finally got my new boy who is settling in quite nicely and is a Homo ED Black Long Hair male. He was long due to me from a gal who bought a pup from my Chocolate Het ED male bred to a LH Black female I had here, and out of her Homo ED Golden Hamster who carried Black but no rust. I didn't plan to restart my ED line but I just happen to have a very lovely and super friendly DEW LH Female here so when new boy(yet to be named) is old enough the two shall be meeting for a night of romance. It will be really interesting to see if Apros(The DEW girl) gained the Black gene or not as her sire carried Black but her Dam didn't.

In the mean time on with the show. In my A-17 Litter there are 6 females. 3 are Chocolate Tort, and 3 are Rust Torts.

Here is one of my Keepers a Hetero Poly White chocolate Tort with lots of splashy Tort patches. She is a SH version of her Grand Aunt Ahave.




Yet to be named she has a very sweet temperament and I really like her. Above shows both sides and her tort pattern. She was only 20 days old in this picture.

Then we have my 2nd keeper Rust Tort girl #1. This gal knows how to turn on the cute power sitting happily in my hand and having a wash. She has been this laid back since day 1 of handling them. She like her sister is Hetero Poly White and has two large patches of tort on her side.





Next is Chocolate Tort #2 Who has some Tort patches but not near as much as my keeper above. This girl looks to be Homo Poly white as her whole belly is mostly white having two large spots of white. Also the white extends up her hind leg just like her Grand Dams white did.



However on this side she only has Tort patches on her face LOL


Next is Rust Tort #2 This gal has a lot of white extending up her sides, However she looks to be Hetero Poly White as the belly white is limited to one patch of white. Her tort markings are only found on one side.




The third and final Chocolate Tort is a Homo Poly White Brindled Tort and she hardly looks Tort at all. However having a Chocolate Yellow Mother she has to be Tort, She has a large white patch on her belly as well as a white Bellow going across her chest. She has also aced the adorably awww class with all "A's"

The final Pup, Rust Tort girl #3. She is Hetero Poly White and has some small sized Tort patches. Her over all body is a definite improvement form the original Chocolates and she is always the first pup to come over and climb my arm. Though her tort pattern is far from what is desired she makes up with character.

Oh dear poor Chasin that must have been upsetting for you Nancy. They are all such beautiful little girls I'd find it hard to decide which to keep but I'm guessing for a trained eye like yours it must make it easier as you'll know what you're looking for

It was a bit of a hardship losing Chasin as he was one of my more enjoyed males. Even though I have no doubt his end was quick so he suffered no pain. I have his 1/2 Brother so didn't lose the whole line he came from.

I felt terrible reading about Chasin, he sounded like a beautiful little guy. I'm so sorry for your loss. But I'm glad that the rest of the pups are doing fine. They look beautiful.

Even if you're not posting all days, you make it up with all these beautiful pictures of hamster babies.
