So lovely to see yet three more hammies! They all sound adorable and unique. Lol at Laila's expression. I know that look!

Aww they are all so lovely, but I must admit to having a soft spot for Nainse after reading about how she only wanted to live with you

Re: 31 Days of March
They are all lovely and they have very special coats (or at least I think so because I've never seen coats like that)
I laughed reading the story about Chasin's name

Re: 31 Days of March
Sorry I missed Friday and Saturday but I had a Model Horse show to prep for and Got home Saturday only to lay down and not awake until now.
So to make up you get double dose of Cute Baby Hamsters
This is my 1st litter of 2017 and is quite and unexpected litter. Mom was 2 days shy of 9 months when she had them and Dad was my only Rust male at that time. Dad was bred to 4 other Females unrelated to him and didn't produce any pups. Thinking he was sterile I didn't expect a litter when I was breeding him to Chaviva. I had pulled up the wrong males history file and didn't think twice of him and Chaviva breeding. I noticed the error when I pulled up Chaviva;s file a week later when it was obvious after 5 attempts Khaluda had finally been able to impregnate a female. Chaviva was not his cousin but was his litter sister. I was mad at myself but was grateful the Background history showed all long lived hamsters and no health problems. Sadly Dad is no longer with me due to a very unfortunate situation which lead to him going into Torpor while loose in the house. I found him still alive but I tried to bring him back but it was too late. He climbed his bottle and pushed up the lid just high enough to squeeze out.
This litter is the latest which came from my original Chocolates, and their Great Grand Dam just passed at her wonderful pet owners home a few weeks ago and was 2 years and 2 months old. The Great Grand Sire was older when I got him from his breeder in Ohio and was already reaching 22 months when he arrived but gave me 1 wonderful litter and lived for 6 more months before passing on in his nest happy and content of old age. The Grand Dam Kadisha is now at her retirement home and is making a young child happy getting to know what it is like to be owned by a pet hamster. Their Grand sire was 2 years and 4 month old when he went to the bridge due to old age. They are now 4 weeks old and have been weaned from their Dam Chaviva. I have these 4 males, and talking with Brookside he feels the almost cream looking Males are Not cream carrying , but being effected by the Poly White Gene which they all do have or carry, but I will be treating them as possible cream carriers due to me knowing Cream did lurk behind the parents. Until I see proof they are not to me they are Ee. The Yellow Male will be staying here, and the other 3 boys already have homes with 3 fellow breeders, 1 will be heading to Dayton Ohio, 1 will be heading to Missourri, and the other to New York. Please pardon the wet look in the one pup he was playing under the water sipper and it dripped on him right before I took this pic.
Here is Homo Poly White(Or Ee) Chocolate Yellow boy #1
And Homo Poly white(or Ee) Rust Yellow boy #2 He doesn't have red eyes it is the red glow from the light of his Poly White gene.
Next is the Het Poly White Chocolate Yellow Boy who at first looked possible Long Hair but has since shown he is Short Haired probably carrying for Long hair.
and finally My keeper a Het Polywhite Rust Yellow. He is so much like his Grand Sire in looks and temperament.
This is his favorite position so he can watch all that is going on around him. He will sit like this for several minutes and once actually fell asleep.
And just to wet your whistle for tomorrow a group picture of the six girls of the litter. 3 Rust Torts, and 3 Chocolate Torts.

Re: 31 Days of March
As I said on Hekomi's post, I'm terrible with coats, I can't tell the difference between the first three, and the last two, but they are all soooo cute.

Re: 31 Days of March
I'm also terrible with colours and at the risk of sounding silly what is the difference between the chocolate yellow boy #1 and the rust yellow boy #2? I keep looking at the pics but with my uneducated eyes I can't see a difference and it would be nice to learn My eyes are educated enough to know they all look like such lovely hamsters, they look so perfect I too shall look forward to hearing about the girls

Re: 31 Days of March
Fantastic, reading your answer BP now I realized that the "last two" are the same ham at least I got it right, they obviously look alike, because they aren't they, they are a single little boy.

Re: 31 Days of March
It's rather hard to see in Photos but Male #1 is not agouti where Male # 2 has faint agouti markings . Had #2 not gotten the polywhite gene I am sure you would see the cheek flashes and Crescents a lot better. Also you can't see pup #2 from the side as he refused to sit still so the only pic I got was a head on one. Also these photos were take when the pups were only 22 days old so they have changed quite a bit from the above photos.
And BP there is no silly in any questions as we all learn only if we ask.
