Smile Hamster News Article

Has anyone else come across this recent news article? It's about a little boy in Scotland whose hamster went missing and was then found 6 weeks later almost a mile away at a Care Home.

Boy, five, reunited with his beloved hamster six weeks after it escaped cage and 7ft garden wall

That's such a wonderful article, what a miracle he survived that and managed to be found and returned! It just goes to show what amazing escape artists and survivors hamsters can be

I saw that one Ruby. Made me laugh though I did wonder if the little escapee had found an easier route out than over the wall! The article I read said he was so upset he had already been bought a replacement.

That is quite a story, kind of hard to believe. I can see a dog maybe but a hamster? That's crazy but I'm glad the little boy got his hamster back.

It is an amazing story! Good job the hamster was ginger lol - easy to spot. (Speaking as a Ginger myself so no offence to others). How good of that nurse to take him somewhere. Gives you faith in humans So has he got two hamsters now if they got him another one? I hope they got him a more secure cage as well! (Sorry - old cynic I am).

I read this when it was in the newspaper and couldn't help laughing at this incredible journey. So glad the little boy had a happy ending and now has 2 hams to look after.
