Fluffy Bedding Petition UK

I had a look around the forum and can't see that anyone has put up anything about this particular petition I came across so decided to start a thread about it. My apologies if I've somehow missed it.

I know a new petition against fluffy bedding always comes around every now and then but I do feel we all need to be persistent in getting this stuff banned. It's going to take 10 000 votes for the government to even take a look into it. For anyone who is not aware of the dangers of fluffy bedding you can have a look at the forum sticky about it : Dangers of Fluffy Bedding.

Thanks for sharing the petition. I have signed it. I really hope it does get removed from shelves because I know people that no matter what I tell them, will refuse to remove it. You could also start a global petition on change.org where I'm sure you could get a bigger, more global result. I will definitely share it on The Guinea Pig Forum, because loads of people on there have hamsters.

Also, it would be amazing to get some of the hamster YouTubers aware of this and to share it because a lot of them are anti-cotton fluff and have huge audiences (many have now reached 100,000 subscribers).

I can't sign it, but it's a good petition. As chesca suggested maybe we can start a global one on change, even it's not going to have a direct impact on the autorities, at least it could aware people of the risk of fluffly bedding

Signed it. I have signed one before but think it was a different one. It does need promoting a bit - says it needs 100,000 signatures to get a debate in parliament.

I can't sign it being in the states, I don't know if something like that is here or not but it is great you have that petition for the UK

I'm pretty sure that you could start something like that in the US. I think that you can do it on the white house web site (but I'm not sure of that). But I know that you can do petitions to the president reaching a number of signatures because I've seen that some people did it trying to help Steven Avery (from the Making a murderer documentary).... Anyway, I don't know if you would be wasting your time. Mr. Donald doesn't look to me like the kind of guy that's going to be concerned about hamsters safety, but who nows, maybe I'm wrong
