At least she's home safe . That photo is totally adorable - what a little cutie!

Is it weird if Larry-Jasper has never tried to escape (apart from once when I hadn't seen him for over a week)? My mum left his cage door open, yet he still didn't escape .

Awwwwwwwwww what a pretty hamster. It is perfectly natural for these lovely intelligent creatures to want to explore and esp. to go underneath things like fridges and washing machines!!!

Glad that she is safely home. Perhaps a large playpen would work for her? There is a thread on here about one using those storage cubes as walls. Here it is;

Stylish playpen

So Khali had another mini exploration again tonight, albeit a shorter one this time. I had her out of my lap on the sofa for nightly bonding. She had been walking over my hands in "treadmill" style ( i mean moving my hands one in front of the other) but she went the wrong way then ventured towards the edge. I couldnt get the ball to her in the right place quick enough and she ended up dropping to the floor ( about half a foot tops). She went exploring under the sofa then across the room to behind the fridge. Got her back in the ball after about 10 mins and she is fine. She's been running in her wheel and was walking and running normally so im pretty sure she is ok. Will keep an eye on her tomorrow though. Need to get her a teeny tiny crash helmet
