So these are some photos from a birds of prey demonstration at a nearby Village fayre. I can't remember the names of all the species so if anyone knows, please add them
The last two are of course Charlie - trying on costumes for his role as Hedwig in last year's production of Hammy Potter. He liked the first costume best because it was cosy and fitted well, but he chose the second costume because it looks more like Hedwig.
The third one make my childhood run in front of my eyes. I don't know why it reminded me of "the grand duke of owls" from the "rock a doodle" movie. In Spain wasn't very popular, but I loved it, it was translated as "En busca del rey sol" (that means Looking for the Sun King). I don't know if you know what I'm talking about. Lovely start to the month Serendipity. Thanks for stepping in. Charlie in his carrier is cute and in his coconut house too. The birds look so fierce but I bet the display of their skills was good. Hello HedwigCharlie! I had forgotten how good he looked in his costume last year.
Lol! Charlie looks so damn adorable as the birds.
I find birds of prey very interesting although they can look pretty fierce.

I love raptors of all kinds so really enjoyed seeing your photos of the birds Serendipity, I think maybe Drago's birds ID is US as we don't have those owls here, my guess is long eared & little owl (looks a bit big though so possibly a short eared owl?) & that looks like a peregrine to me too.
Made me smile to see Charlie/Hedwig again, he's so good at dressing up

Aww! Charlie has a lovely set of ears! All of those photos are adorable. My favourite is the fourth one.
Yeah, I think you're right Cypher. Definitely a peregrine, and those other two look like long-eared and little owls to me too. I don't think it's a short-eared owl as they have some black around their eyes.
