Re: 28 Days of February 2017
Day 28 - Charlie's Memorial
When I started this thread at the beginning of February, our little Charlie was very old and failing but still his old personality with moments of fight and feistiness in him. He went to the Rainbow Bridge partway through the month and I have been a bit up and down since then, so apologies if the thread has been a bit scatty at times as I've been a bit scatty myself.
Here is his finished little memorial garden/flowerbed. Plenty of things still not grown yet but there should be something in flower from February through to October each year with the odd bit of evergreen in winter.
I didn't realise how small the memorial stone would be until it arrived, which is why we got the rainbow bridge stone as well, but we decided both would be good.

Re: 28 Days of February 2017
Charlie's memorial garden does look lovely Serendipity, I can easily imagine how it will look as the plants begin to fill out & bloom, the stone doesn't look so small in the photos & the rainbow bridge door is a lovely touch, a very fitting tribute to your special man.
I appreciate that it hasn't been an easy time & keeping the photo month thread going each day takes some effort, I've enjoyed your photos so thank you for sharing

Re: 28 Days of February 2017
Charlie's garden is beautiful and a fitting tribute to his life and a fitting end to the month. The hamster month thread has seen births and followed littesr and Charlie has shown us the lasting love that a hamster shares with his family even when he is old and even when he has passed on to the bridge. Thank you for sharing this time with us Serendipity - it can't have been easy for you but sharing helps too. Charlie boy rest in peace and play well at the bridge xx

Re: 28 Days of February 2017
Charlie's garden looks really special. It will be a lovely place to sit and remember all the good time you shared with him. I think, given the circumstances, you've done a fab job of keeping the February thread going. It's been filled with some lovely tales and also some funny ones (I laughed reading about the sheep trying to get in to the pub lol). Charlie will be proud of you xx

That's lovely Serendipity, I think you've done a wonderful job, that little memorial stone is just perfect . We all appriciate you keeping the thread going even after Charlie's passing, Souffle made such a good point about how this thread shows how deeply you loved Charlie and how much it affects us when our hamsters pass away. Thank you for sharing it all with us.

Thank you for keeping the month going even in such difficult circumstances. I posted on Charlie's memorial thread about how lovely I think his garden is.

I love the sheep pics, I actually collect sheep things, toys, ornaments etc. I've even got sheep pyjamas.
Charlie's finished memorial garden is absolutely perfect and beautiful. I did shed a few tears at his stone. You've done him proud Serendipity.

Re: 28 Days of February 2017
I think that the memorial is beautiful, I don't think the stone is small, I think it has the perfect size, I thought that the rainbow door was going to be bigger, but everything matches perfectly with each other.
Thank you for continuing the month thread after charlie's passing. It was a very interesting month and I learnt a lot of things

Charlie memorial garden is beautiful - it will look so special when the flowers are in bloom. Both the rainbow bridge and memorial stone are lovely and a wonderful tribute to the wonderful Charlie.
Thank you for a wonderful thread this month during this difficult time. I've just caught up - somehow I missed a few days - but I really loved seeing the picture and reading each day. That's turkey looks so impressive and those sheep are so sweet trying to get into the pub.
