Day 16 - Fancy dress horses

Today I have some photos from the local agricultural show. It's on a huge showground/field and there are displays of sheep, cattle, tractors, birds of prey, horses and poultry. And there are tombola stalls, a bouncy castle, the odd fairground ride, a craft tent and a tea tent. So it's a good day out annually.

There are also some more unusual events like dressed walking sticks and ferret racing and sulky racing (horses and carts). The craft tents are always amazing - photography, baking competitions, knitting and childrens crafts.

And there's the fancy dress horse competition. Children's ponies in fancy dress. I'm afraid the photos aren't that good as I couldn't get too close and they were moving mostly. So a lot are from the back or the side.

And this is Lady GeeGee (Ga Ga). I like how the costume colour matches the horse colour. It's a fun thing and gives a whole new meaning to the term "dressage"

I didn't feel like it, but once I started it brought back happy memories and helped a bit to remember how he was. Once I tried putting music to it I bawled my eyes out. Those eerie silences will go. You and Charlie had such a strong, loving bond and it shone throughout his thread.
Those shows sound like fun.

Sounds like a great show and a fun day. Kids have gone to a lot of trouble with costumes or more likely their mothers!

Day 18 - Yorkshire Humour

This isn't an animal photo really, but relates to animals. I need a bit of humour at the moment so hope you enjoy it. I saw the poster in the window of a building in the Yorkshire Dales. "Missing from Home" poster.
