Default Freddy - the ballet hamster

Freddy is a russian dwarf that my husband adopted December 2016.

Not 100% sure of his background. All we know is that they were struggling to rehome him because of his pink eyes/behavioral issues. In all fairness he isn't the cutest of hamsters - his ears a bit pointy, he has red eyes he's what I dub strawberry blond and with a sucky personality - the poor thing didn't really stand a chance, did he?

But he isn't aggressive, he's just pretty blind! The first couple of weeks he gave us some damn good nibbling. Now he knows us pongy humans aren't for eating, he's stopped trying to chew us up. Phew!

He freely comes out, he will run straight out the moment we enter the room, and stands at the door ready to run straight onto our hands.

Personality - he's a very determined little soul, runs about his cage with a very serious look on his face and then the rest of the time he's being a comedy act - doing very funny things.

He's really quite small, smaller than other russian dwarfs I've had, in terms of length.

He likes to walk on his back legs and do a circle more so than any other hamster I've had (but not to the point I think there's anything wrong with him, just think it's a quirky character trait) I call it Freddy practicing his ballet....

Freddy lives in a Ferplast Mary cage and his favourite toys are his sand bath, sputnik, lava ledge and bridge.

Freddy being very serious and not pretty enough to be adopted

Freddy proving he's every bit as handsome as all the other Russian Dwarfs and that he was badly overlooked

Freddy proving he is infact ridiculously friendly and loves the sunflower seed givers, aka my husband and I. Here he is - LET ME OUT

I think he looks adorable Red eyes can be very popular and his colouring is nice. He looks as though he's trying to find a way out, standing on his back legs looking up. Casing the joint sort of. He almost looks like a Syrian on that first photo! Is he a bit of a bar chewer or was that when he was just settling in?

He sticks his nose through in the hope of catching the magic sunflower seeds that appear at the bars

Oh he is beautiful. Love the look of his cage too. I would love a white barred cage or five.
