Default Showing hamster??

My little bundle of craziness Pickles (named as she always getting herself either in trouble and in a Pickle!)
She is coming up to 10 months old and she was bought from a hamster show I wanted to show her but when I got her she had some bar rub on her nose will this effect judging? Even if I put her into the pet class!
You can see it now but to me she s funny I would love her to be shown!

It would probably affect the main show judging, I think [don't quote me on that, lol], but the Pet Judging is based on Tameness, Condition and how well the travel cage is done up so it probably wouldn't affect that at all

It wouldm't affect her too much in pet class but you would likely lose a bit on the condition score. Same would apply to main class and losing something for condition due to bar rub. It isn't uncommon though.

I wouldnt worry about losing points for it. After all its the fun of showing her that you are wanting. Go for it and enjoy!

If you want to show her then don't let the potential loss of points put you off. Sometimes a hamster can still end up doing well if the other criteria are top notch and I think it's still fun to enter and go to the shows.

One of mine has won his straight class in the main show despite having several noticeable moult lines (common at this time of year but still a fault) because he recovered the deduction for that in the other criteria. A loss of a couple of points doesn't necessarily mean that they won't come home with a placing.

I think is the fun of taking part rather than carrying off any prizes. Have seen many happy 'loosers' at Reading shows....

I'd say go for it! All hamsters are beautiful in their very own way. Like others have said, the fun is in the show, not the prize
