Do they seem to like exploring the playpen? Or ar they a bit nervous?

They were just running around investigating and going inside various things- maybe a bit nervous as they're not used to the open space but they seemed to enjoy it

none of them tried the wheel, but one of the boys did

Just like any hamster trying something new. They need to get used to a playpen. It will help them be less frightened of playpen time when they are older.

Sam looks like he was really enjoying the porridge.
Nice to see the girls playpen - they look tiny in there. It nice to hear they enjoyed themselves exploring.

Awww Sam is lovely. Great playpen. Must get mine set up. My female syrian, Kashi, would LOVE that.

Not looking particularly tidy but here is the hamster room setup at the moment. My husband still needs to move some of his stuff but apart from that, all the shelves are occupied by hamsters

Top left is Sam- he has been bar chewing so we put some cardboard at the front. Top right is Max- you can just about see him on his shelf.

Penny is in the middle- she has also previously bar chewed so has a log bridge up over some of the bars at the front

you can also see her in the pic.

Bottom left is the girls- I know the tape holding up the water bottles doesn't look very good! And finally bottom right is the boys

It's nice to have them all in one room again

Good multiple cage storage with those shelves. Just need to move the boxes in the middle and hey presto space for another hamster cage

Yep that's the plan- it's my husbands stuff so he can move it

The term cat lady is well know, we should start to standardize the term ham lady.

I'm just joking, no offense, really. I'm a ham lady myself. I only have one hamster, but If I could, I would have two shelves like that,
