Christmas at Metallica Hamstery
Rather than spreading this across the four separate threads, I thought it would be more organised to put the Christmas stuff in the one thread.
Jessie wanted to wait up all night for Santa Paws and but because she's got a short attention span, she ran on her wheel, rescued her food from a cardboard box and then went to bed. I was however greeted by her when I went into the hamster room this morning and was confronted by the housekeeping she'd kicked out of her cage.
Here's some photos from the day...

Jessie's presents
Matthew's presents
James is intrigued by his present
Jessie gets stuck into her dinner

Re: Christmas at Metallica Hamstery
Thank you Souffle. I hope that you and the family had a wonderful Christmas.
All of my hamsters got the surprise treat package but they all got (or will be getting) something else. As you can see by the photos, Jessie got a second hammock so that she never has to do without one again. Matthew got a treat-kabob and his hammock. Victoria got a new rainbow bridge toy to replace the one that she let her son have.

Re: Christmas at Metallica Hamstery
James unfortunately only received the surprise treat package because I was thinking about getting him a wodent wheel but I couldn't find one other than paying the rather expensive price of having it imported from the USA so I'll have to find him something else.

Re: Christmas at Metallica Hamstery
Thank you. They seemed to enjoy themselves and the Christmas dinners went down a treat. Victoria was so pleased to have her favourite rainbow bridge back that it was all that she wanted to play with. She wasn't keen to leave it when playtime was over so it came with us and has gone in her cage.
I kinda feel sorry for James as the others got more than he did but his treat-kabob is on the way and I'm keeping my eye out for a new wheel for him.

Re: Christmas at Metallica Hamstery
Sounds like the whole hamily were very spoilt! So lucky that they had such a nice dinner.
Unfortunately, I can rarely be with my pets over Christmas as I go to my Grandparents every year who live quite up north. Also, Oreo is only allowed in the garage there and it's too stressful for Jasper so they're both at my Mum's. At least they can be warm and fed as otherwise Larry-Jasper would be on his own at my Dad's.
I did Christmas presents Saturday night. Jasper also had one of those rainbow bridges for Christmas. He seems to really like it . Santa Paws also brought him a shelf for his travel cage, some ceramic hideys and some cardboard toys.

Re: Christmas at Metallica Hamstery
I'm sure James will be happy with his kabob for now, Jess can teach him to do it if he's not sure
Zeki's still loving his, seems to be more of a boy thing in my house.
Good luck with the wheel hunt, shame the wodent wheels are so hard to find at a sensible price, might be cheaper to import from Rodipet than the US but then it would be hard not to spend even more buying lots of nice things to make it worth the delivery cost like I do lol!
