Please help, what is wrong with Binky??

Hello, hoping maybe someone can give me some advice.

One of my Robo hamsters, Binky, doesn't seem right. About a week ago, her tail look a little dry, like it had been wet and then dried. But underneath oh her tummy and bum looked normal so just thought it had gotten wet. But today it looks a lot worse.. her bum are looks a bit red and wet... I've read a lot about wet tail but Binky doesn't have dhiorreah at all, still small dark poops like always. She has been a little off her food, not taking treats off our hands anymore and she even bit me yesterday which is totally unlike her, never ever bitten before! I don't know what to do, hate the thought of her suffering. She's about 18 months old. Any advice? Thank you so much, Lauren x

I would say take her to the vet as they will be able to check the symptoms and make sure it's definitely not wet tail, or if it's something else they may be able to treat it. I hope she's feeling better soon!

Robos can't get wet tail, that I never heard of. Hammy's can bite letting you know she doesn't feel good. I'd taker to the vet, exotic vet 4 sure with this problem for your robo

I would take her to the vet as soon as you can. Robos can't get wet tail but diarrhoea can still be very serious, if it's that. It may be a urinary infection or any number of things really. But the redness and the fact that a friendly ham has bitten you is a good indication that she really isn't well. They can use aggression (out of character) to mask a weakness, such as injury or illness. I hope Binky is ok, it's very upsetting to watch the little creatures we love suffer but I'm sure you'll get some good advice and be able to do what's best.

Good luck at the vets.
I was wondering if she might have a small wound that hasn't healed properly (around the tail is a very common place for bites) from the fights before you separated your pair as it wasn't that long ago, if it is she may need antibiotics but hopefully the vet will be able to help her out & she'll be better soon.
