Mapplewell show

Well, Nelson and Bailey went to a show last Saturday, it was Baileys' first show! It was a very big Syrian entry at the show. Nelson got two 2nds, one in the cream class and one in novice. There were 10 in Bailey's satin class and as she was only a baby she wasn't placed but she did get 4rth in novice! Here are some pics of the show.

It was Northern Hamster Club show. Well done Littlemissdwarfhamster who got BIS and BOS with her dwarfs and nice to meet a fellow hamstercentraler in the flesh. We had a nice chat.

wow the shows- do look exciting! well done for ur awards!

i cant wait to go to one myself. some how i doubt my motley crew will get anything but it will be good to see what a hamster should look like :P

ponder is already worried about her size from when pj visited. when i saw her huge syrian it really did make ponder seem small, i dont think her bring me some dwarfs that were bigger than ponder nor the fact she had bigger dwarfs too did much to help!! oh well if they ever want to decrease the size of a syrian i will be a shoe in!!

how do you lot find the shows especially your first one??

Well, we are members of the Northern Hamster Club (NHC) and every month when the journal comes we get a schedule of the next shows to come up. It gives you details of when, where, who the secretary is and how to get there. Entries in the main class only cost 25p each so it's not much! For your information the next Northern show is in Penistone, I'll post on HC when the next show is and the details and maybe you could make it!

hope so i should be a member by then, just need to figure out transport it sucks when you cant drive nor can dave, and i have no wates around here that would take me

not yet but thats a good idea, just wish dave would remeber to post the cheque for membership to the northern club, he has promised since monday. i guess i should really stop being lazy and do it myself :P

so how many hamsters is there normally in each class roughtly?

i bet there is a great amount of competition! you were so lucky to get all those placings!

edit i dont mean lucky i mean you did really well you truly have some top rate hamsters!

i just reread it and saw how bad lucky looked there

I also like to meet fellow hamster people, its kinda weird just being able to talk to people via a monitor - much better to see people in the flesh.
