Re: Zelda and the cowardly walnut!
No, she doesn't do it in the video, they where 2 different subjects
Haven't been able to catch on video yet. I mean, i could easily force it, but it wouldn't be good for her.
It sounds a little bit like crackling electricity when she does it.

Re: Zelda and the cowardly walnut!
Oh I'm sorry. I thought the video and what you were saying were related.
I think that some hams are very expressive and others just don't talk at all. Squeaks can mean a lot of things. I'm a newbie and mine doesn't makes any sound, so I can't help you, but It doesn't have to be something bad

Re: Zelda and the cowardly walnut!
Just the first part was related, but i can see how it could easily have been Interpretet as all together.

Re: Zelda and the cowardly walnut!
I think if it sounds like crackling electricity it means they are annoyed. Boris made that sound once and we'd woken him up when we'd only had him for a few weeks (being woken up makes me cross so I expect hamsters are them same ). As Hamsterita said some can be quite vocal/chatty. 3 of mine are really quite quiet and one always seems to have something to say even though he is such a shy hamster lol. I'm sure I came across something at one point which explained the noises they made and why but I can't find it at the moment, if I find it I'll send it on to you

AWWWW She's so cute.
It's been a long time since we heard about Romeo and Zelda.
I'm glad to know she's doing ok.
