Re: Zelda and the cowardly walnut!
Zelda is currently getting familiar with her travel cage as she is taking a 3 hour bus trip for Christmas. She seems to be okay with it, as long as there is lots of digging opportunity

Re: Zelda and the cowardly walnut!
She is 60 grams. That's very small compared to blacky he is almost 4 times as big, right?

Re: Zelda and the cowardly walnut!
Zelda had a nice little play today
she seems to like having her travel cage close by. She will stand up the side of it when she wants to come out and explore and climbs back into it when she's done climbing on me, dig around for a bit and then stand up the side again.
She has been really well behaved towards me since I started having the travel cage close by.

Re: Zelda and the cowardly walnut!
I put a stone in her cage to help trim her nails… probably won't help much if she keeps this up!

Re: Zelda and the cowardly walnut!
Good idea!
The stones are making wonders with me and Blacky. As you know his nails were a little bit long, the substrate was starting to hook on them when he walked. His nails have cut down since I put some rocks on his tank. I'm checking them everyday and maybe he won't have to go to the vet If they keep improving.
You have a detolf and it's really big. Maybe you could add some more, under the wheel, the potty, and the sandbath. I would definitely give it a try.
I love the photos of her half buried. She is so cute

Re: Zelda and the cowardly walnut!
We've been looking for a place to buy the right kind of stone, but have a plan of doing something like that, yes

Re: Zelda and the cowardly walnut!
In case that you are interested, some of the ones that I got are these DYFT Adorno, piedras - IKEA
I washed them and I baked them, and they are working fine for me. I didn't use all of them because some were tiny for me, but I'm not repentant of buying them

Re: Zelda and the cowardly walnut!
I found some granite pebbles at a local hardware store, I'm going to go look at them later today. They might not be big enough, but I'll have a look at them never the less.
