Re: Zelda and the cowardly walnut!
Lol sweet Zelda, just bored I suppose? I've never seen a hamster do that before, when Duncan gets his sunflower seeds, they last maybe five seconds at best! Glad to hear she's been doing well

Re: Zelda and the cowardly walnut!
I think she might just really like opening things. It's the same with monkeynuts. Goes crazy for them, but the peanut will never get eaten. I keep finding it in her stash..

Re: Zelda and the cowardly walnut!
Aww, to her kiss your lips and another Aww to her stash of opened seeds. Maybe she likes the noise they make when opening.

Re: Zelda and the cowardly walnut!
I think sometimes they just enjoy the challenge!
My little Ziggy was like that with monkey nuts, he'd have great fun shelling them then just leave them & Zen will often shell sunflower or pumpkin seeds then just leave them in her hammock!

Re: Zelda and the cowardly walnut!
She's such a funny girl and so cute as well, I really like Zelda and think we could do with some more pics of her
It is funny what they get up to. My little Artie sits shelling the millett from his mix and then puts all the little seeds in his absolutely huge stash (which is more like a carpet under the substrate it's taking up so much floor space lol). None of my other 4 do this so I find it odd :P

Re: Zelda and the cowardly walnut!
I have lots of pictures!
Here are some of her typical two legged behaviour. As soon she sendes any kind of activity near her cage she starts searched for us, often tip toeing on two legs constantly.
And yet another walnut keeping her busy

Re: Zelda and the cowardly walnut!
Lovely pictures of zelda!! He looks so grumpy with her walnut, maybe she thought you were going to steal it from her
