My syrians have tall storage boxes as play pens with a wheel, tunnel, bedding, food to keep them contented.

I usually gaze lovingly at them whilst playing games on my tablet! Oh and listening to the radio on said tablet.

Interesting to see everyone's reply regarding playpens

I think it's great to have communities like this because everyone cares for their hamsters a little differently and I've gotten so much inspiration and tips!

It's getting so cold! Starting to get frosty and my family up north in Yorkshire have even had light snow in their area ... Also had a not so pleasant Experience with a rather large spider brrrr.

Baby ham decided to make quite a pretty nest by stripping off all the paper of her tube , she's resourceful i'll give her that!

Also a little throwback to my african land snail Christopher when he was still diddy, he grew to be 7 inches long!

haha, I don't blame you! I know they aren't everyone's cup of tea but I found them adorable in their own way

I have a syrian and he has the trixie playpen. Totally useless. He knows like 3 different ways to get out. So I always have to keep an eye on him.

Those trixie play pens shouldnt be sold for syrians. Like so many pet shop things!

Agreed :/ It's amazing pet shops sell the wrong things for the animals they sell, I didn't even know till joining here that they did!

It certainly is getting cold (a bit further north in County Durham).
