Will me having flu shot affect Sweep?

Tomorrow (Friday) morning I'm having the flu shot - yuck! The last few times I had it I was a little poorly after it, but will it affect Sweep? The first year I had it I had to be hospitalized for 2 weeks as it made me really ill but apparently I was allergic to that particular one and since then I've only felt a little unwell. (It's a different one every year apparently) Usually it's just achey, but sometimes I do feel a bit fluey ... Am wondering if this means I can't go near Sweep or touch him like if you are sick? If it gets really bad he'd have to go to the sitter as it's always unpredictable in how long it lasts! I hate this time of year!!

I've never had an issue with the hams after having my flu jab

The Flu jab is a dead virus so you shouldn't get any flu symptoms..
I had one a couple of years ago and developed hay fever afterwards......

There's no reason why the flu jab alone will present any problems for Sweep and I had mine last week without it affecting my hams at all however if you start to develop any cold symptoms then I'd take the same precautions as you would if you'd developed a cold in any other ssituation.

I can't see why it would affect Sweep. How did it go with the jab?

Didn't get it in the end! They said they've changed the criteria of who can gaet it and they don't think I qualify now as my health conditions aren't listed any more. However, they told me to ask the pharmacist because it told me on my prescription to book it, and the pharmacist said I needed it, not only because of my health conditions but because of my history. They'd have done it themselves but they've just been taken over by another pharmacy so apparently they have to have the training again or something. So if the doctor doesn't give it to me by 2 or 3 weeks from now then they pharmacy will once their training is complete ... It's a bit odd!

I keep getting advised by my doc to have the flu jab over many years and I've always refused and will do each time. They say there's no side effects to getting the jab but that's been found to be untrue and there has been many reports of side effects and people feeling worse off for getting it.
I just don't want to take that chance.
How do you feel about it yourself? How have you felt when you had it before?

The first time I had it I was so sick and had to be hospitalized for 3 weeks. Apparently I was allergic to that one but it changes each year. Since then I've always been OK mostly though do feel a little unwell after it. I often get flu symptoms for a couple of days after it

I sometimes get the cold over the winter but, it never turns into the flu.
