Smile Zooplus Issues - What would you do?

Right guys I'm after a bit of advice. Please bare with me as this might be a long post!

Right so, I ordered some bits, including the Alaska cage from Zooplus on 2/4/17, so 2 weeks ago today (Sunday)..

I got all the confirmation emails, and was expecting the parcels to arrive before the end of the week. Well, it took until Tuesday for parcel 2 (with bits and bobs) and Wednesday for parcel 1 (the cage) for them to actually be dispatched, the 2nd parcel moved reasonably fast and was delivered 10/4/17, still taking a week and a day though!

However the cage didn't move for 6 days (4 of which were working days), DPD even confirmed that they had not been given the parcel, during this time there was a lot of emailing back and forth to Zooplus, they offered me 5% off my next purchase.. which, well was a poor attempt to keep a customer that spent around £70, in my opinion!
Eventually they admitted that the parcel must be lost and so sent out another.. However, the day after the initial cage moved and is now being delivered on Tuesday (18th) so over 2 weeks since purchase!

So what I would like to know is whether you'd keep both cages, and if anything is said, say that the first wasn't delivered? Or reject the delivery of the second?
I just feel like I've been messed around that much by them! Any comments welcome!

Hmm... its really up to you. Did you sign for either of the parcels? If they have no record of who revmceivedd them then you could choose to keep it. I have done so with some anime stickers i received.

This is of course your own decision.

Please can you check out the forum rules particularly this section

No Site or Company Bashing: Please avoid bashing other websites and particular named companies or venting about your frustrations of other websites and named companies. Any topics written that are in this nature will be locked or most likely deleted from the forum.

Any complaints or problems with companies must be resolved with their customer services department. You should be aware that some of these companies do monitor forums and we would not like you to put yourself in a difficult situation by posting such questions.
With regard to receiving two cages you need to use your moral judgement. If the first cage is perfect with nothing broken then morally I would have to return the second one as I had not paid for it. Check the box before the courier leaves and if broken ask them to take it back to the sender.

I have actually read the rules but didn't realise that I was company bashing (blonde moment I think!), they're a good company, they were brill with my first order!
You can remove the thread if needs be! Sorry, but thank you!

That does sound tedious and I sympathise. Similar things have happened to me in the past where I have ordered something, it hasn’t arrived and the company has sent a second but the both eventually make their way to me. However, it just doesn’t feel right to keep more than I paid for so I have always contacted the company responsible and offered to send one back. Occasionally, they have told me to keep the second item for my troubles! So, if I were in your situation, I would tell Zooplus and offer to send back the second cage if they will pay for the postage.
