Smile Favourite hamster toys and hideways thread

I thought this would be a fun thread where you can just post your hamster's favourite few toys or hideaways (2-3). Everyone is always running short of ideas to spoil their hamsters rotten (I know I certainly am), so this would be useful for presents too! Also a common question on the forum is about good toys so this could help with that too !

Please include a link (where possible) to the toy/hideaway, along with the name of the toy/hideaway, roughly how much you paid for it (and where if you can remember!) and what species your hamster is (Robo toys probably won't fit a Syrian ). It would be helpful to include a short description. You can also include photos as everyone loves a cute hammy !

I'll go first

So I only have Larry-Jasper and his current favourite house is under his water bottle lol!

This is the link to it.

It was £10 but you can get them much cheaper, mine was expensive because we urgently needed it and needed something with Amazon Prime.

My dad bought it off Amazon.

It is a water bottle with a house underneath, which Jasper loves .

It doesn't really have a name as so many companies sell these. Just search hamster waterbottle and it will come up.

Larry-Jasper is a pedigree Winter White.

Can't wait to see everyone else's hamster favourites

Sweep has so many favorites I don't know where to start! His all time favorite though is his cube! It is apparently an "edible" cube though Sweep has never tried eating it ...
It is this one from Pets at Home. Small Animal Play Block | Pets At Home ... I got it online (it is listed under rat toys) because there is no P@H local to me, and it is £6. Here is Sweep in it

His other favorite is his Sputnik. I got it from Rat Rations because I wanted the large size one (rat size one) and because you can choose the colors for the top and bottom. I wanted pink, but Sweep said it wasn't suitable for boys and he would refuse to use it if I got pink so I got him black and grey I got it here Sputnik - XL - £4.99 : ratRations.com It is only £4.99 and considering it is used every single day I think that's pretty good! And for the picture, well of course I had to use this one :

Harvey loves his Sputnik houses, he has 2 rat size ones. He also loves his cube - he's got the same one as Sweep. And his wheel - he so loves that wheel.

Mine have quite a lot of favourites so it's hard to choose, for Chineseys you can't really go wrong with Fuzzbutts hammocks, corner crushes & snooze cubes, all of mine have really loved those.
(That link isn't working temporarily as she's taken everything down to concentrate on Halloween but should do normally.)
Other favourites are coconuts & egg boxes, the egg boxes have been a particular favourite with my Russians.
Right now Zen & Zeki's favourite thing is the shelf under their wheels, they are both living under there & loving them!
Other favourites are the sand baths, anything from a fairly large plastic tub which Tinwë really loves, salt pig (style no longer available sadly but many of them are good) for Zeki & the lovely but very expensive Rodipet sand bath for Zen. She also has a little oil burner that she loves to climb up on or dive into hunting for seeds.
And of course wheels are always top of the fav list!

I managed to get one for about £3.11 to go into one of the tanks but I did have to wait quite a while for delivery as it had been sent from China.

Victoria quite liked it but she managed to knock it over when she got a bit carried away with her housework.

All three of my Chineseys adore their Fuzzbutts hammocks although Victoria's has been taken out as I'm working on the assumption that she may be expecting.

Here's James with his:

Another toy that they all adore is the chew cube: Happy Pet Chew Cube | Petandcountrystore.com

- I took out the free nesting material and binned it.

Pets at Home also sell them but I found that the holes are a little bit smaller than the Happy Pet one: Small Animal Hide and Seek Cube | Pets At Home

Here's Lady May (RIP) demonstrating why they're so much fun:

Unfortunately I've not got any photos of this one but Jessie in particular loves this bridge: Woodlands Climbing Frame | Pets At Home

It says that it is suitable for hamsters but in my opinion, a Syrian might find it difficult to fit through the 'walls' of the bridge.

Pinkneon : beautiful photos of Sweep as always , especially in his Sputnik! I may need to get a small one for travelling with Jasper.

Thin Lizzy : Which wheel do you have?

Cypher : Ooh I really like that shelf!

Fluffagrams : Jasper likes to knock his over unless it's in his sand bath. It works much better in sand. £3 is cheap - as I said I needed my delivered the next day otherwise I would have ordered it elsewhere!

Cute photos!

Jasper has one of those yellow cubes. He quite likes it! I hate the fact they come with fluffy bedding though ! The ones from P@H seem to be quite good (one of my friends has one) but my very local P@H doesn't stock them . The holes seem a bit bigger and more Syrian sized.

Culprit : Thank you! Well hamster shopping is fun isn't it?

I have just ordered a long bendy bridge and a puzzle playground so I'll update you if Jasper likes it or not and about the quality/value for money .

Charlie's favourite thing was also his rat sputnik Which had a circle of hemp mat inside the bottom of it to make it cosy. I didn't tell him it was pink

His other favourite toy now is this hyacinth tunnel. The small size is plenty big enough for a large syrian and he likes the holes to go in and out of, it's soft and chewable and good for a nap inside too.

Serendipity, Sweep has one of those tunnels too. Although he does like hiding in it, I noticed he's also CHEWED it - a LOT! So much it's falling apart! So now I'm unsure if he liked it or not, but Santa Paws has agreed to replace it

Some of mine have had the small seagrass tunnel which is very similar & they do seem to enjoy them a lot.
