Gordon's getting fat...

Hey all,

So Derrick generally seems to be the more dominant hamster of the two, but Gordon is actually bigger, and is getting quite chubby. I'm taming them both and let them have a sniff of my hand every night. Every other night they get a little sunflower seed each as a treat to help.

Is Gordon looking too fat for a robo, or is his spherical hamsterness fine? Derrick is smaller and leaner, so it's hard to tell as a novice mum! Both do loaaaads of running every night, so I'm not too worried about that

It's hard to tell with the pics but I'd say he's not fat. If you wanted to you could weigh him on a kitchen scale. I think it's normal for one hamster to be bigger than the other. Assuming that they live together that is They should have 2 separate food bowls if they are living together

Ha he's just so spherical! Derrick is smaller and leaner, and more 'hamster-shaped' than Gordy, so just thought I'd get a second opinion as HamsterDad keeps telling me he's getting chunky.

This is him standing up on a rare occasion where they have a treat to nibble on / distract them while I clean their main cage. I can't believe how big he is now compared to a month ago!



I scatter feed them, and they're both definitely getting to munch on food so we should be good on that side of things.
