My hamster geniuses
I am so delighted by two of my hamsters ...
I have been regularly visiting my mother in hampshire due to her having fractured her ankle. Long story short I have now moved in with her. All the planning travelling and general mayhem associated with the move has meant that my six lovely hamsters have not had much attention.
Gopal, chocolate fluffy syrian and Arun cream fluffy syrian are used to regular playbox time. It has been over three months since they have had any kind of handling or out of cage time and yet both happily climbed into their transport containers and are in their play bxes exploring. I am really delighted that they have remembered the routine.
It just goes to show what intelligent little creatures they are x

Re: My hamster geniuses
Aww Gopal & Arun are little clever darlings.
I think they'll be wanting out more now they've had a taste for it.
You've got a heart of gold flowerfairy moving your Hamily to look after up your mum, hope your mum's fracture heals soon.
Not only are our hamsters intelligent but, can adapt to situations that us humans might find stressful.

Re: My hamster geniuses
Thank you for your kind words TL. The little fluffers will defo be getting play box time from now on. Life is slowly getting back to normal. Rabbits and dogs have moved too. Dogs seem very happy indeed.
I have been very impressed by the way that all the animals have settled in our new home.

Re: My hamster geniuses
It's amazing how they cope, they'll have sensed that you're settled. Knowing their mom is happy makes them happy. How we present ourselves to our pets is felt by them.

Re: My hamster geniuses
Very true. I think their sensitivity is one of the characteristics that helps to make them so appealing.
