Taming Zero
I haven't posted on here in ages, my apologies! Zero is almost completely tame now, and will walk on my hand. The method I had used with Goose wasn't working at all with Zero, so I decided to go with something different. I scooped her up and let her run on my hands a couple of times, she was really nervous at first but she's cool as a cucumber now.
When I first got them Zero definitely seemed like the dominant, more confident hamster of the pair, but it's looking like I was wrong about that. Goose isn't shy at all, and is unusually social for a Roborovski. She'll run over to sit on my hand whenever i put it in the cage! In the future I'll probably be handling Zero less, since she doesn't seem too keen, but I only wanted to tame her so she wasn't scared of me when I clean out their cage.

Re: Taming Zero
Every hamster is different when it comes to taming, you've done a really great job.

Re: Taming Zero
I have a new adopted Robo that's verrrryyy flighty and jumpy, but can sometimes be okay after he walks all over me and settles down in my shirt somewhere.
I really hope I can get him to be more tame after a few weeks of gentle handling and him getting to know me
