Re: Pet Safe Paint?
I don't know how safe that paint would be tbh also I think you would have trouble painting the bark parts of the wood unless you were planning on stripping that off or something?

Cypher; I was planning on stripping it off yes, can you recommend any paint which is completely safe?
And thank you Gimley!

Re: Pet Safe Paint?
Water based plastikote is the only safe paint I've used myself, there is another some people have used but I can't remember what it is right now, sorry.

Re: Pet Safe Paint?
The other thing to think about is that without the bark & painted it could be a bit slippery & hard to climb on, you could try mixing sand into the paint while it's wet but I've never been able to get that to work somehow!

Re: Pet Safe Paint?
Ah, good point, I didn't think of that! I'll have a ponder and see what I can come up with, but the sand sounds like a good idea!

Re: Pet Safe Paint?
Cuprinol garden shades is pet safe. I have used it for hamster shelves, houses and wheels. Comes in loads of colours too.
