Post New cage and a visit to a pet sitter?

Hello there,

Lawrence is currently in a P@H large wire cage but I have ordered him an Alaska. It should be here this week, however, I am going away for a long weekend and Lawrence is staying with a friend of mine who is a professional dog walker/pet sitter. He will be kept in a quiet room that her dog doesnt frequent but I'm still worried for him. The change of scenery may be stressful for him and I dont want to compound this with a cage move aswel. Or would it be better to get all the stress over with and put him in his new cage for his holiday at my friend's?

Personality wise he is very friendly and inquisitive but I want to make sure he is as happy as possible. Any suggestions?

I would keep him in his current cage then see how he is when he comes back home, they're often fine with going away for a short stay elsewhere but some can be a bit unsettled by it, if he is I think it would probably best to just give him a little time to settle down again before changing to the new cage.

Thanks Cypher! I will keep him in his current cage for the time being. I'm looking forward to seeing how he gets on in the bigger cage though! Lots more space to fill with toys!

Im just glad he will have someone to interact with him while I'm gone. He loves attention and only seems to chew his wooden chews if I hold them for him! 100% spoilt rotten!
