How do I figure out where my hamster pees in his cage?

Hi! My name is Adrian and I recently bought a Winter White hamster about a week ago and I have let him settle in nicely. I heard that you can potty train hamsters and I saw a video where they said that you must first have to find out where he pees. Thats where im stuck, I have no idea where he Pees and I need help because I want to potty train him asap! Thanks guys!

If you can't find where he's peeing, it's probably not necessary to go crazy cleaning it. Try lifting boxes and hides to see if it's perhaps underneath a house. What color is your bedding? White bedding will make spotting pee easier

I wouldn't worry too much, they pee very little so it can take a while to figure out where they go, you should be able to tell soon enough & then just spot clean what you do find.
He may pee in his nest/house but I've found all my Russians very easy to litter train, if you put a small tray with chinchilla sand (not dust) close to where he sleeps he will probably begin to use that, you can just lift out any damp clumps & don't need to change the sand often.
If you give him a sand bath in the cage he may well use that too.

It may take him a while to choose a place, but the chinchilla sand is likely to be used. My dwarf used to pee in different places, but now uses the sand bath/toilet and sometimes her wheel.

I have always had two separate places: toilet and a bath. They all very quickly got used to the bath and never used it as a toilet. However, not so with the toilet. They would roll few times in the toilet paper based refills.
