There's nothing worse than a clueless/nervous vet. Don't they realise that hams can sense their feelings?
I'd put in a complaint, even if you have no intention on going back. How can they improve their services if they're not informed of their weaknesses?

Thanks Cypher for that Good Vet Finder link, I'm not happy with the one I'm with.

I think Coco knows an excellent vet in London! It makes such a difference when you see someone who is proficient! I know how you feel I think as had a similar experience when taking Charlie to get his teeth clipped. I also got sent away with anti-inflammatories for possible arthritis of the jaw and she said his teeth looked ok "a bit long" but ok. Without even opening his mouth! Just because Charlie opened his mouth a bit. I was so confused but in the end, go with your gut instincts. My gut instinct was - his teeth need clipping. So I went to another vet, recommended by a member on here, and the vet I saw filled me with confidence and talked nicely to Charlie. She had me hold him while she clipped his teeth - no anaesthetic. Charlie didn't forgive me for a long time lol. But he was fine afterwards. It was done in minutes. No sign of arthritis of the jaw and he is now eating normally.

I recommend CJ Hall in Sheen. They have a website so you can look up their details. It just depends on where you are in London for them to be convenient. My hamster Mocho is currently in their care.

I guess it will depend on how far you have moved then! If you look at their website, you will see they are exotic specialists and take such patients from quite a distance.

Hello everyone! It feels like I haven't posted pictures forever. I went to pets at home yesterday and almost got another hamster, a cream long haired male he was the cutest little thing, only if I had a spare cage...

Anyway, Misty has been chewing her water bottle lately which I'm sure is something she learnt off of Miranda - she's such a bad influence! I cleaned out her bed this morning and there was so much poo in it, it was horrible. Is it normal for them to poo in their beds? Miranda does this too.

Mira hasn't been out much, I moved her into my bed room about a week ago because it'd warmer than the spare bedroom because it's smaller and has a carpet. She hasn't been on her wheel at all. I put some bedding on top of it the say we moved her into the room and it's still there now. She's also now coming out as much usual but I thnk that's just to do with it being so cold.

I got some more adorqable pictures of Mrs Misty today. I totally didn't have to bribe her with food.

Miranda has started chattering her teeth lately and making weird huffing sounds when she eats, is this normal? Does anyone have any idea what it means?
