Misty's so naughty! She sits on top of her bridge and waits for me to try to sleep and then goes on the flying saucer. She's cute though so it's ok.

Re: Misty and Mira's pics
Misty looks so cute especially in the photos of her under her bendy bridge. It looks and sound like she enjoys her flying saucer.

Re: Misty and Mira's pics
Some pic's of their new cage setups I cleaned them out today. Miranda wasn't very happy that I gave Misty her climbing toy but she didn't even use it! Moody...
The first picture is Miranda's Alaska cage (I'm thinking on asking my mum for a bigger age for her for Christmas, Maybe a ZZ2 Since she bar climbs a lot and it scares me because the Alaska is quite high)
The second picture is Misty's ZZ1 She's so cute to watch when I put her back in her cage she loves to explore.

Re: Misty and Mira's pics
I took some more pictures of Misty exploring and being cute. I did TRY to get some of Mira but she went straight back to sleep :/
Some might be a bit blurry she wouldn't stay still!

Re: Misty and Mira's pics
Could you put a shelf in the Alaska and some hammocks to help prevent falls? If there was a shelf she'd not fall as far if she dropped from the top

I did put a hammock in for a few days but she was scared of it, she'd make a really high pitched noise at it and stopped coming out of a night time so i took it out. And she climbs to the top corner of her cage and bar chews for ages and even if she's in the other room and the door's shut we can still hear her. I think the reason she's bar chewing is probably because she want's a bigger cage. She's really active and unfortunately she knows how to escape out of her playpen so we're looking for a hamster ball for her to go in but we can't find one big enough for her -She's so big!!
I really want to get her a bigger cage ideally one without bars, a tank isn't an option because they're so expensive in the UK so if we do buy her a new cage it will probably be a ZZ2 or if for some reason we can't get one maybe a Barney cage? I've been reading a few reviews on here so hopefully she'll have a new cage for Christmas!

Re: Misty and Mira's pics
We have this ball
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Savic-Runne...large+rat+ball
It's for rats and ferrets so should be big enough!
It looks massive when you first get it, but once you're used to it then it's ok!
Could you maybe get her something like the Detolf from Ikea? You'd need to make a lid, but she won't be able to climb it or chew it, and would have a long space to run around. However, you'd need space to put it! I think they're around £40ish?

Re: Misty and Mira's pics
If you want a bigger cage but can't fit the length of a Detolf,Lack tables are a great option! They're actually easier in some ways than a Detolf would be,especially since there's no fiddling around with velcro and things like that to attach a bottle. All you do is turn the Lack tables upside down, mesh the sides, and make either doors or lids. It's extremely simple, around the same cost as a Samla bin,but is a lot easier than a Samla bin and less fragile than a Detolf as well as less frustrating than either the Samla bin or Detolf.
