Meet Luna!

Our hamster Princess passed away from wet tail a fortnight ago after having her less than a week. It was sad, and I didn't think I would be getting another ham for a little while.
I had heard good things about a pet shop near my boyfriends house (Getting their hams from small breeders, handling them daily,etc) and when we were passing at the start of the week we decided to go in and see.

I talked to the woman about what had happened and asked her questions about her hams. And then she let us hold one! And she was so fluffy and sweet and I couldn't leave her behind.

So we took her home to my house, and set up the cage with toys we bought at the pet shop for her

Her name is Luna. She is a long haired syrian hamster, and she's kind of a weird colour?? Grey/brown of some description - I have no idea what to call it. She's about 9-10 weeks old now. She's very sweet and curious, and yesterday she even ate some veggies off my hand!

She seems lively and healthy, very active and much larger than our previous ham (Who was supposed to be a couple weeks older than her...)

Her wheel just arrived from zooplus the other day and she LOVES to run. She also love to play in her sandpit (And that petshop sells the supreme science sand so I don't need to pay for shipping :P ) Here are a couple of pictures of her!
