Default I'm back!!

Hi I just arrived back from my holiday in Germany, and I have a question about hammocks, tubes and sputniks and whether I could fit them in my cage.

This is the Sputnik I have been looking at and I have been wondering which size to get: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00...8EJ7F785FRH7A3

I have been wondering if this tube would be suitable: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00...fKL&ref=plSrch

And finally if this hammock would be suitable: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00...words=rat+toys

They look OK. Watch to see if your hamster chews the hammock and remove it if they do.

You may also want to remove the chains from the tunnel and attach it with sisal string. Chains can trap the hamsters feet, toes etc and cause injury.

Alright, I already bought some as I was thinking about getting a tube similar before I went away. As for the hammock and Sputnik which size do you think I should get??

They all look ok. If Peanut chews the hammock then remove it from her cage. As already mentioned regarding chains on the tunnel it best to replace them for sisal string.

For the Sputnik it best to get a larger size. I think the rat sized hammock may also be better than the hamster size one.

I bet Peanut is happy to see you. How was she around your friends house?

Rat sized (large) Sputnik for a Syrian hamster or a hamster sized (small) Sputnik for a dwarf hamster.

I haven't used hammocks. Someone who has will hopefully advise you.

She was good she got handled by my friends mum and dad, my friend said Peanut bit her but she didn't draw blood so I'm guessing it was just a nip. I gave Peanut lots of treats and smoshes as she had been a good girl .
There is a hammock which is 18cm on the site the rat hammock is 88 so it's probably best to get the smaller one right?

That's good that Peanut got handled, she probably sensed fear in your friend so nipped her.

I was getting confused with the measurements, the smaller one might be better. I normally make hammock myself for Sherbet but I can't remember what size I made them.

I think this hammock might be more suitable and it's cheaper: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00...rch&th=1&psc=1

That hammock looks good (the one above this post). Keep in mind how big your hamster is and if it is still growing.

You don't want a too small one that your hamster is going to get too big for, but you also don't want to get one that is too big as it will take up a lot of space in the cage.

This hammock may also be an idea the links for Zooplus but I think you can get them in Amazon to, this might be a bit big though, but I seen people on this forum who use them in their hamsters cages.
