Recommended Wheels
It's time for little Minnie to get a new wheel because she has grown out of her current one ( sorry not sure what the wheel is called ) and she has practically eaten it ! So any recommendations on which wheel to get ?

Re: Recommended Wheels
What wheel does she have at the moment? I'd recommend Wodent Wheels, Comfort Wheels, Trixie Rodent Wheels, Silent Runners and Carolina Storm Wheels

Re: Recommended Wheels
I think it's a Comfort Wheel but I am definitely not buying that one again because i've had plenty of bad experiences with it . Is a Karlie Wonderland wheel any good ?

Re: Recommended Wheels
I love the karlie wooden wheels. One each for my two roborovskis and one of my syrians has the big one. Lovely and quiet.
The silent runner is awesome too (two syrians have those) also quiet and will last for ever I reakon.

Re: Recommended Wheels
Love my silent runner, Alfie chewed the spindle on his comfort wheel but the silent runner doesn't have one so he just wees in it instead

Re: Recommended Wheels
I did a thread on available wheels Although it says Syrian hamsters at the top, it has dwarf hamster wheels below. I love the Silent Runner! Is it for a Syrian or dwarf hamster? There is one for each - but it might depend on what cage you have as to what wheel would work best.

Re: Recommended Wheels
I adore my silent runner. The cage mount option makes for clever use in just about any cage set up. They are a little on the unattractive side but make up for it in the quiet.

Re: Recommended Wheels
They're not the cheapest either (in the Uk anyway - not too bad in the US) but I agree, having them screwed to the bars is brilliant! Makes life a lot easier, it sits firmly wherever you want it in the cage and whatever height you want it If it's for a Syrian the 29cm Karlie Wonderland wheel isn't that cheap any more as Zooplus seem to have stopped stocking it and it's expensive on Amazon. That was nice and quiet too, but they might need a light sanding (there have been issues with splinters) and painting with plastikote.

Re: Recommended Wheels
Thank you Serendipity !! I was actually looking for that thread . And is the Silent Spinner one of the most silent wheels on the market because I'm actually looking for a very silent wheel .
Thanks again everyone And what size wheel would a fairly small Syrian hamster need ? Minnie has an 8.5 inch one right now . Is that enough ? (again she is quite a small Syrian hamster)
