My new little family
Hi, everyone. Here are recent pics of my 4 boys. As I am now on my 5th group, their names start with 'E': The white is Enzo, the black is Ezra, the grey is Evan and the one with a collar is Eric. They came to my home when already 3 months old from Luton. They will be 1 yr old next month, so will have to make a cake for them. Nothing like to UK Bakeoff, but little cake nevertheless. All my previous Campbells were housed with wood shavings, which got them to suffer from mites. On breeder's advice I now use shredded paper. Much better, they like it and not fear of mites.

They are lovely! I prefer paper bedding anyway. Do you use Fitch? It's quite soft and works out economical as they sell it in bulk That little guy on the right (fourth pic) looks like he got wet!

They are so cute! Congrats! Like the "E" names! Nice to have an instant hammie family. How did you come about getting them?

Re: My new little family
Guy, thanks for your comments. Serendipity: dwarfs do not get wet, that is only for Syrians. I have had 6 groups so far. The first were just two RWW: Bill and Ben, named after the 1950 childrens' puppet tv show. I have had large groups and they have all had names starting with B,C,D and now E. As their lives are so short, I have not named any of them with a name of a living person that I may know. Superstition? Maybe..
Re the paper: I found only small packs of 1/2 kg in the UK on general sale. So got a 10 kg bale. Fortunately, I have the space to store it. When it arrived it was a bale 1 m high, 1/2 square. Since last Sept I have used less than a quarter, as t so densely packed.
Cleaning cages today, so will have space to take more pics.

Syrians shouldn't be getting wet either!
I did wonder about that fourth pic too, he does look a little damp or greasy, what has the little guy been up to?!
I remember Bill & Ben, er just! Great names for a pair of hams
Look forward to seeing more pics.

Re: My new little family
Cinnamon: Unfortunately, I always have to wait until the last of the group passes, before getting any new ones, as they will smell each other from far away. When my last D passed in Sept, I got in touch with reputable breeders in the London area or near, to see what stock they had. Melissa in Luton who is a well known breeder and a judge had 3-months old boys. So next day went by train to pick them up with my carry case. As the cages were all prepared, I changed to paper within days, after it arrived from a supplier. They settled in very well, but because they were older, they were not at all interested in the upper floor.
