Default Hamsters are like rabbits

I now find that hamsters are similar to rabbits in terms of taming. I abandoned most techniques regarding how to tame hamsters a long time ago, I have now seen a lot more progress whenever I slowly start to introduce my hand into the hamsters cage to let them explore and familiarise themselves with me compared to usual steps and I feel that hamsters tame fairly quicker.

That's what you usually do anyway with taming, except people usually use treats to try entice them in a bit more.
