Default what chew toys

I am not so sure what a good length of hamster teeth is healthy so what chew toys are good I give him toilet rolls you know the cardboard tubes and he destroys them quite happily and also when I sleep should I have my hamster a certain distance away from me as at the moment his cage is on a bedside table next to where I sleep

well as to different types of chew toys, whimzee chews are good. And i don't think there is a certain distance you hamster needs to be away from you, as long as the noise doesn't bother you i think you're fine.

Whimzee chews, most hamsters love them I think that they're called Antos chews in the UK, although Viovet sell both. I'm not sure if there's a difference..

They're a dog chew but perfectly safe for hamsters as they're vegetable based and made with natural colouring

My hamster Gus is right next to my bed on a chest of drawers as I didn't have anywhere else to put him. He's as active as ever and he seems perfectly happy so I think your hamster should be fine. Maybe just try to make as little noise as possible while your fluff ball settles in

Oops, beat to it, haha. I'm not sure about teeth length but if your hamster's on a good food mix then it should help with the growth - you can always ask a vet to clip them if they're too long. You can also do it at home but I'd be too scared to do it myself, haha. I've never had a problem with any of my hamster's teeth though

Whimzees & Biscrok dog biscuits are both good chews to help keep those teeth trim.
It's not that often they have tooth problems unless they are born with a malocclusion or damage them doing something like bar chewing, the bottom teeth are longer than the top & if you hold your ham with the mouth open to show the teeth they should meet.
A good ham mix will keep the teeth trim anyway so don't worry if your ham doesn't chew on wood or some of the other chew toys, many don't.
