Is this true?
The other day I read somewhere that hamster can hear noises coming from electronic devices that are used in the same room they are in, which can sometimes make them scared or bite you by accident, or sometimes scream. I wanted to know firstly if this is true, and secondly if it is, how do people get around that? Any hamster I've ever owned has been kept in my room, and as far as I know none had a problem with me having things like my TV or laptop being used in the same room. I do most of my internet stuff at night time, mainly because I don't sleep well at night so am usually up and alert at that time, but because everyone is in bed (or at least in their rooms) I can't use the laptop downstairs. So I guess I'm asking whether or not it really does affect hamsters, and what I can do about it? His cage is right on the other side of my room, and although it's not massive the room is quite big. But in the past I've had hamsters that have loved sitting on the laptop, or trying to type their own messages!

Re: Is this true?
All I know is hamsters can hear things that we can't hear and that sometimes these noises can spook them.
