Excited!!!!

I am EXCITED!!!!!!! A lot of things are arriving today!!!!! The cage is arriving, though Viovet set the carrier in a separate parcel that arrived this morning - do they usually do that? My stuff from Pets at Home is coming, and I clicked on the tracking link, and it appears it's being delivered by the same guy as the cage from Viovet - a little confused by this! Are they near each other or something?!
Amazon delivered the potty and 2 lots of chinchilla sand this morning too (along with a sticker book ... For, errrrrr ... My neice

). I hadn't realized until it came that I had actually accidentally ordered the guinea pig sized carrier from them too - thought I'd clicked the "save for later" button! So now I have 2! And the Viovet one is actually the same size (I had ordered large thinking it wasn't that big lol) so now I have two massive ones, one yellow and one blue! But that doesn't matter too much because now I have a spare lol. Though one came dismantled and the other didn't, so will keep the other in storage for now. I bought some hamster food from Wilko the other day when seeing my sister, as they had one near the event we went to (It's this one, and hope it's going to be ok? Wilko Hamster Food Muesli Mix 1kg at wilko.com). I have some Harry Hamster coming, but it's not coming for a little bit. I also already had treats, and got some paper bedding in Wilko too. So with the Pets at Home stuff coming today, I may be able to set up most of the cage! I think my Zooplus stuff is coming tomorrow, which means I will have the wheel and a few more toys so will be able to finish setting up!!!
Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek I'm SOOOOOOOO excited!!!!

That's quite a haul! Sounds like you're going to be having fun with that lot

Parcels go to big depots from the supplier then on to you from there, that's how they get delivered by the same company

I guess the Wilko food will be ok short term but the site has no info on ingredients or G/A so no way of knowing how good it is or not tbh.

Oh wow! Lots of goodies coming in. I am excited for you! Are you setting up a cage ready for a new arrival? I would love to see pictures of everything! What cage did you choose?

Very exciting! I love it when I order hamster supplies online. When the package(s) arrive, it's like Christmas.

Oh yes, LOADS of fun!!!! (Though I'm one of those people who is slightly addicted to online shopping, and if I see a toy or some treats I think they'd like it accidentally slips into my basket! Same at a shop actually ...)

Crude Protein ... 13%

Additives :

*Colourants, Nutritional Additives : Vitamin A 10,000iu/kg, Vitamin D3 1,000iu/kg, Vitamin E (Alpha-tocopherol acetate) 20iu/kg, Copper (as Cupric Sulphate) 25mg/kg

I was thinking that I'd mix it in with the basic mix the pet shop gives once they are settled, and then either switch it over, or add it in to the Harry Hamster when that arrives? Or I could use it as a back up? It looks pretty much like Harry Hamster, but obviously it's not ... It was the only one I could get from any shop that was specifically for hamsters, instead of for hamsters plus rats or mice or gerbils ...

Yep! I ordered the Maxi Duna. According to the parcel tracker, the delivery guy is 3hrs 3mins away from me. He is on order number 39, and I'm order number 99 apparently!

Yep. The neighbors have been round a couple of times this morning because the parcels were delivered to the wrong house!! I LOVE opening any kind of parcel lol

I'm waiting on the same cages! I ordered 2 but from a different company. They are 3 weeks late though and I paid for 3-5 day shipping. I might order from a different site next time. I have heard Viovet is good

lol! I know what you mean, I hate shopping... unless it's for hamsters

The wilco food doesn't look very good, the protein & fibre are too low, protein should be about 19% especially for a young ham & fibre closer to 8-9%. It doesn't seem to have any animal protein either & they should have some.
It would be ok maybe as a temporary measure but once you get your Harry Hamster I'd use that instead.

I got mine from Welcome to Porton Garden Aquatic & Pets - Porton Garden Aquatic & Pets ... Ordered Friday, and is coming today!!

Ok. I'll take a look at the pet shop again for Harry Hamster, but they usually have a bucket with hamster food in, and then they weigh it according to how much you want ... Might just stick with that until I can get the Harry Hamster, especially as the hamster will be used to it anyway

I have had to start pre-ordering Harry Hamster. Someone at the pet shop told me that they don't stock it anymore and it has to be pre-ordered. Not sure why or if this is true for every pet shop. She did give me a reason but I can't remember what the reason was.
