I had 2 boys when I was younger and a female recently. All 3 were completely different. Teddy was so lazy but he was very tame and you could handle him with him falling asleep on you. My other male, Gene, was very active and an escape artist. I didn't manage to tame him very well. Lexi was very friendly, very active and curious about everything. I think I will have to own many more hams to figure it out. I don't know if I have a preference... I just love all of them! I can't wait to see your ham when you get him/her
