Re: Red Eyes- Creepy or Cute?
I think red eyes can look really cute, particularly with certain colours of hamster although I don't think that eye colour would be an influence in my choosing of a hamster.

Re: Red Eyes- Creepy or Cute?
I think every ham is cute lol! So I don't think it's creepy but they don't appeal to me personally.
It saddens me when I see them in pet shops tbh, I know certain colours of breeder hams have been bred to have red eyes but in pet shops it's often a sign of poor breeding, over breeding from too small a gene pool basically so it makes me concerned for the hams general welfare.
I know poor breeding can be an issue with many pet shop hams but with red eyes it's hard to ignore.

Re: Red Eyes- Creepy or Cute?
I don't think of it one way or the other, although it's interesting, but our little boy saw a photo of a red eye hamster and screeched it was a devil hamster lol. Flash photos tend to make them look a bit like that maybe.

Re: Red Eyes- Creepy or Cute?
I'm not bothered either way. Our adopted mini Noodles has red eyes. I didn't know when I got him as I'd only seen a blurry photo and he was sound asleep when I arrived. We had no idea until halfway home he came out to see why the world was moving. But hey he's a hamster, that was the only criteria!

Re: Red Eyes- Creepy or Cute?
I love the red eyes now, but, when I first saw a red eyed hamster years ago, I thought something was wrong with it lol!
