A very important hammy intro!
So! I joined this forum to get insight on breeders after my syrian Groot died. I found Nancy, and contacted her. I was originally looking for young pups, when she told me she had two ladies that have had litters and needed a nice comforting pet home. I ended up taking both!
My boyfriend and I traveled in the worst snow storm of this winter. It was crazy, but worth it!
Here are my new lovely ladies planning to get better pictures soon once they are settled in more and more comfortable.

Re: A very important hammy intro!
Aww Hello Gloria and Qalila you both seem to be enjoying retirement life already. Yes folks this wonderful lady and her as wonderful Husband I think are Eskimos. LOL they could have called and rescheduled but all week Mawhiskers has been so excited about the new hamily members she and OH just didn't want to call it off and wait. She had to choose between these two wonderful Hamsters and a younger girlie who had been injured fairly bad when at just 5 weeks old her sister decided to kick her out of the cage, and with me not home bit her up very badly. Both decided to pass on the little young lady and give a new life style to the retired girls.

Gloria was born here and is a Shiloh X Iris daughter. She was a great Mom but being a Dove Tort Band and me attempting to keep Cinnamon out of the Rust gene only had one litter of pups for me. She was born 2 days before my Birthday on Sept. 8, 2014. Her Mom Iris is will be 2 on April 9th and is still going strong at Erin's House. Her sire Shiloh just left us earlier this year at the grand old age of 2 years and 2 months (+/- a month)

Qalila was the Dam of my last litter the L-15 litter(as seen in the photo above), and is the Dam to the soon to be 1st time Mom Chaviva. Qalila came with the original group of Chocolates and we only know she was born either Oct 30, 2014 or December 30th 2014. She gave me two absolutely magnificent litters and deserved to have a chance to learn what total pet life is like.
I want to Thank Mawhiskers and her husband for being willing to give and older Hamster a pet life as I don't like when the retired Hamsters don't ever get a chance to enjoy the kind of spoiled that they only get being a single or duo pet hamster. Having 24 Hamsters here they can't get the one on one attention that a pet owner can give them.

How wonderful! Congrats on your new hamily may they enjoy retirement with you for a long time to come.
Oh Nancy I wish I could take the injured little one to add to my collection of damaged rescued animals! A bit too far to go

Re: A very important hammy intro!
Thank you Nancy! For the wonderful addition and the extra information!
And thank you everyone else! I am definitely already beginning to spoil them haha. I just got my DSLR back up and running so I plan to take some fun photos once they are settled and all that.
If I had the space I would have taken all of them! It was a bit tough choosing as well. I'm happy I was able to take the two though

Terrific news Mawhiskers. We have followed these two lovely ladies on HC with their litters. So good of you to give them both loving retirement homes.
I have to say that you are so lucky to have seen ST Hamstery! Would love to!

Aww what little beauties. I bet it was wonderful seeing 24!
I especially love your little chocolate girlie, reminds me of my darling Gopal (except he is fluffy).
How great that they will be living a peaceful and loved retirement.

Re: A very important hammy intro!
Thank you guys! It was a great time going to Nancy's, worth the snowy trip. She is wonderful and her hamsters are great
As an update:
Gloria cracks me up, I will fill her food dish and she will take all of it and stuff it in her cheeks. I think she didn't know what to do with it yet so she would even run in her wheel with it in her cheeks. I believe she has found a spot now to stash it haha. She doesn't want to take treats from me yet but she is learning I put the food in the dish.
Qalila loves to take treats, haha. She stuffed her cheeks full yesterday taking them. She's a little more trusting so far. They're so fun to watch them be a little more confident each day.
