Old hamster photos

My OH has spent four days scanning in my old photos, I'm going to share some of my first hamsters. I started to keep hamsters when I was fourteen, which was many years ago.

First up is James a male cream banded, medium haired Syrian hamster. I think he was cream...

Turbo was my second hamster, a male dark golden Syrian hamster

Third was Humbug a female sable or chocolate Syrian hamster, and she was mother of my fifth hamster Badger.

Up next is Badger son of Humbug, sadly I have no pictures of his father who passed away before the litter was born. Badger was a male Syrian hamster, not sure of his colour or pattern.

This last one is a picture of my first two gerbils. Misty a female white flecked grey on the left, and Toffee a champagne male on the right.

Lovely photos and just so you know Badger looks like he was a Sable Roan.

Thank you both, thank you Nancy. As Badger grew he did get a lot more beige with his grey dots, I don't remember how old he was in these. He was the tamest hamster I ever had, mostly due to the fact he been handled since he was a pup.

I wish I had pictures of the others I kept. Humbug was a sweetie but her ending was a sad one, still I remember all my old hamsters and gerbils with great fondness.
