Hi, how old is he? He could just be getting old. Ours has started sleeping more, not coming out now until around midnight (not very convenient for us!) but is eating and drinking okay and when he does wake and comes out of his cage he's still a nosy little thing, poking about. He's no longer in his ball though as he's been diagnosed as having arthritis and is on metacam, prescribed by the vet.

It may be worth getting him checked out by the vet perhaps? I know it's not cheap but it may put your mind at rest x

Woodstock is losing hair round his eyes and has thinner fluff on his skirt. He is only one and a quarter. He does pop out for food a couple of times in the day but otherwise he sleeps til around 11 or 12 at night.

It sounds like normal aging signs to me. Hope he remains in good health.

Depends to be honest. I've just lost one. Was fine the night before and found him the following morning collasped, shaking and cold. He passed about 20 mins later no signs before! I lost one in march 2015 and she was in a hunched over position, stopped eating apart from cucumber, scrambled egg and baby food. Wouldn't drink very much at all and ended up passing after a week. Have no clue what was wrong, but think one was old age and the other possibly had wet tail or cancer x
