Default None Toxic Paint

Hi

I have some lovely cage accessories that need a lick of paint but I'm concerned as to which one to get. Could anyone recommend some non toxic paint so I can update Baileys furniture.

Many Thanks

LL xxxx

Plastikote water based enamel paint, you can get it from DIY places like B&Q, the range or amazon.

Cuprinol garden shades. You can get it from B and Q or most other hardware shops.

Comes in a lovely range of colours. Used for my rabbit hutches and runs and for my hamsters cage platforms, wheels and house.

Would this be a good paint to use to have my hamster and ratties "paint" their paw prints on paint canvas?

Personally I wouldn't put any kind of paint on their feet, safe when dry but maybe not when wet & you really don't want to chance them licking it off.

In the end I have gone for Cuprinol Garden Shades Bluebell all the furniture has been painted and is now dry. I'm kinda waiting a couple of days just to make sure that everything is ok and especially if there are any lingering fumes although I don't smell anything, but afterall Hamster noses are more sensitive than ours. I can't wait to put them in his home.

Hi,

just wondering, can I use any enamel/water-based/child safe paint?

The reason I'm asking is that I had my eye on the 'enamel' paints from Wilko but obviously they do say "Keep out of reach of children". I'm assuming that's just the standard warning though?
