So I am going to be getting a hamster within the next 4 days ish (yay!) lol. For a while I have had my heart set on a Syrian but now I'm not so sure. The cage is suitable for all species of hamster having a bar spacing of 0.7 cm. The only problem is I have a 12 inch wheel lol can't really see a dwarf running on that!
So basically what I wondered was if I go to the store and saw a dwarf would it be okay for me to get one and have it use the 12 inch Trixie wheel until I can get it an 8 inch wheel ( the next few weeks) or will I just have to stick to my Syrian idea. Thanks, Hammy x

I don't really see a problem with a dwarf running in a 12" trixie wheel, it's light weight not stiff or heavy so it would probably be fine.
